Get involved at City Church Nowra.
Beyond our Sunday services, we have a number of areas where you can get involved every week. Including community outreach, connect groups, Friday night youth, creative team nights, prayer meetings and more.
City Church Kids
City Church Kids is a stimulating environment focussed on discipling the youngest generation and helping them to connect with God, and shine His love in all they do. We creatively communicate the gospel in exciting, fun ways that are engaging and memorable. City Church Kids runs during all Sunday Services, catering for children from 4 - 12 years of age. Our City Church Mini Kids program runs in both morning services, children 18mths - 4 years of age are welcome.
City Church Youth
The youth ministry of City Church, we are a movement of young people, committed to showing Jesus' love wherever we go! City Church Youth meets every Friday night during the school term, all high schoolers are welcome! 6.30pm until 9pm at City Church Nowra (167 McMahons Road North Nowra). City Church Care
The local community outreach arm of City Church Nowra. We are committed to meeting people were they are, with love, acceptance and practical assistance. Every single week we reach out to our community. Our Hub Bus feeds the hungry in 3 separate locations throughout our city. The Hub Food Store provides affordable groceries to those on a tight budget. We run programs in our local schools, including scripture and the SHINE program.
Creative
At City Church Nowra, our Creative Team are excited about what God is doing through His people in the local church. The team comprises of people of all ages, backgrounds and skill levels. When we join together, there is just one purpose: lifting up the name of Jesus and proclaiming his goodness. Whatever your expression of worship is, we would love to have you join us on a Wednesday night from 6:30pm for a night of fun, community, praise and worship, teaching and rehearsals.
Young Adults
Our Young Adults are made up of uni-students, young professionals, couples, singles and anything in between. Young adults connect every week during our Sunday night service and at a variety of weekly connect groups.
Womens
The City Church Women are an important part of our church. Designated women’s nights are run throughout the year called - ‘She Belongs’. We are passionate about women doing life in relationship together and living lives with purpose and passion. God has positioned us together to be a community of women who love, respect, encourage and uphold one another to be our best selves in order to influence the world around us, that we live in in everyday.
Mens
Men. We Love Competition, Admire Courage and Tackle Projects. It’s What we Do!
Here at City Church we hold weekly ‘Men's Breakfasts’. These events act as a catalyst for the blokes to get to know one another; to trust each other and laugh with one another as we gather to fellowship with one another around the BBQ. They are designed to pour the foundations of relationships that men can build on. If you’re a bloke, then we want YOU! There are plenty of laughs and testosterone involved, so come and meet others or come help someone else make a connection. It’s time to ‘MAN UP’
Prayer
We believe in the power of prayer, not only in our personal relationships with God, but also we believe in corporate prayer. We meet together as a church on the first Tuesday of every month to prayer together for one hour. There is also an early morning prayer group each Wednesday. We have seen some amazing answers to prayer. If you would like to request prayer in your own life, you can submit a prayer request on a Sunday through our Prayer Request cards, available from the Connect Desk or the back of the chairs.
